McLean, Va. (March 30, 2018)—HumanTouch, LLC (HT), a leading provider of federal IT solutions, announced today that the company has brought on Larry Allen, President of Allen Federal Business Partners, as part of HT’s new Advisory Board and as a strategic partner.
Larry Allen formed Allen Business Partners in 2011 after spending 20 years running the Coalition for Government Procurement (CGP), a major trade association of over 350 government contractors that sell commercial services and products to the federal government. During Mr. Allen’s tenure at CGP, he grew the organization by 250 members and increased its income 20-fold, making CGP a leading voice in the government procurement area. As a result, Mr. Allen has become a leading authority on GSA Multiple Award Schedule contracts, and their VA Federal Supply counterparts. Through Allen Business Partners, Mr. Allen brings to HT, and its Advisory Board, expert advice in the areas of contract representation, contract negotiation, GSA training, and budget analysis.
“HT is pleased to form this partnership with Allen Federal Business Partners,” Senior Vice President, Rick Hill said. “During this time of growth, we look forward to the guidance Mr. Allen can provide to the Advisory Board as well as to HT in a services capacity.”
In addition to his work with Allen Federal Business Partners, Mr. Allen previously hosted, and is currently a frequent guest on, “Off the Shelf” on Federal News Radio in the Washington, DC region (where public and private sector contracting experts discuss what happens at the intersection of procurement policy and process). He has also made guest appearances on the Federal News Radio shows “Federal Drive” (where host Tom Temin interviews federal executives and government contractors who provide analysis and insight on the many critical issues facing the Executive branch) and "Amtower Off-Center" (discussing the good, bad and ugly of doing business in the government market).
In addition, Mr. Allen is the primary author of “The Secrets of Schedule Sales Success,” a contributor to three other books on government procurement, and a frequent contributor to industry publications, including the Washington Business Journal’s government contract blog. Mr. Allen has become a much sought-after speaker for businesses and organizations seeking the latest information on the federal market. Mr. Allen is also an Adjunct Instructor at George Washington University in the Government Procurement Law and Business Programs. As part of his work at GW, Mr. Allen created and executed a graduate-level program on Inter-Agency Contracts.
