Pega Systems Architect

Pega Systems Architect will have successful experience in delivering Pega strategy services to large organizations and delivery experience with the Pega platform and applications to meet business requirements.  Architect will be a part of a multidisciplinary team that is supporting the full Pega application lifecycle.  Lead and/or support the analysis, design, development and implementation of systems and software, as well as the completion of other project work streams and deliverables. May also lead project modules or work activities as appropriate and can formulate solutions to define specific business or technical issues.

Pega Systems Architects will Apply Pega 7 application design principles and best practices on projects.  Other responsibilities may include:

•           Analyzing business needs and organizing them in stages and steps within a Pega Application

•           Understanding and refining requirements gathered by Pega Business Architects within the context of building a Pega application

•           Leveraging deep understanding of Pega Platform including Designer Studio and Direct Capture of Objectives (DCO) Tools in development of applications

•           Applying key application, case management, and user interface development concepts and techniques in the design and construction of the components in a Pega multi-process applications

•           Designing efficient data models, developing approaches for sharing data and integration with external data sources, and preparing data for reports within Pega Applications

•           Implementing decision rules to enforce organizational policies

•           Configuring processes and case stages

•           Designing and developing of User Interfaces

•           Creating application Pega documentation

•           Collaborating with the project teams, business stakeholders, and governance bodies to support Pega systems design and development that meets business requirements

Education Requirements

•           A Bachelor’ Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline

•           Pega Systems’ Architect Certification

Work Experience

•           2+ years of experience as a Certified Systems Architect creating designs and developing implementations of Pega multi-process applications

•           A minimum of ten (10) years’ experience with three (3) of the last five (5) years in supervision of system architects, use of structured analysis, design methodologies and design tools (such as IDEFlX, entity relationship diagrams), and other design techniques; an advanced degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or other related discipline may be substituted for two years of experience

•           Must have experience with object-oriented principles, and the logical and physical functional, operational, and technical architecture of large and complex information systems

•           Experience in support of the Federal Enterprise Architecture Framework and familiarity in supporting Agile projects in federal agencies

•           Solid foundation in IT integration architecture and prior hands on experience in IT delivery while being aware of the latest IT trends and innovations as relevant for Pega

•           Ability to convert business requirements into system architecture and design

•           Deep knowledge of Pega application design and development best practices

•           Track record of successful Pega application implementations that meet user needs

•           Strong Understanding of Business Process Management (BPM) and Case Management

•           Strong implementation skills in an Agile development environment
