The US Naval Academy (USNA) envisioned a comprehensive mobile app to track every aspect of a Midshipman’s education, training, and growth, from Plebe to First Class.
The USNA needed to future-proof the Midshipman experience with a mobile engagement platform that provides communication, scheduling, tracking, and data collection. The Leader’s Compass application is the first of its kind within the Armed Forces academies and its goals focus on continuous evolution as a tool for individual soldiers, faculty, and Department of Defense leadership lifecycle. The Leaders Compass App provides the USNA Faculty and its Midshipmen with a centralized point of access to track all aspects of coursework, performance, and development programs cultivating the next group of Navy and U.S. Marine Corps leaders.
Accessible on any mobile device, and functions with familiar swipe technology, the Leaders Compass delivers an engaging customer experience (CX) and complete tracker for both student Midshipmen and USNA faculty to optimize every aspect of the leadership, education, and training journey.
Midshipmen CX: Full transparency, UX, and engagement in classes, ranking, goals, leadership development, training, and assessment.
USNA Lead Faculty and Staff CX: Provides leadership with data on the scope of Midshipmen classes, trainings, development, grades, scores, materials, and events; and data for program efficacy and efficiency.
The Leader’s Compass captures and optimizes data around the US Naval Academy’s leadership development management programs and the collective and individual USNA Midshipman training and education. The mobile app tracks class engagement, ranking, objectives, leadership program, training, and assessment all in one place, and streamlines the challenges of managing and directing goals and competency demands. It also provides USNA staff and leadership with data on the scope of Midshipmen classes, training, development to assess program efficacy and efficiency. The Leader’s Compass is the tool that is redefining Leadership Development and data management within the Armed Forces academies, with untapped potential to larger companies, universities, and agencies.
